Flexible, Cost-Effective I/O Modules

The R1M/R2M series is a high performance line of analog and discrete I/O modules. These modules feature individual channel configuration of input types and ranges. Field I/O connects directly to the R1M modules and data is transmitted via the Modbus RTU protocol over an RS-485 network. Additionally, the R1M/R2M provides an RS-232C port for portable host communications to a PC.The R1M/R2M series is designed for remote I/O and laboratory data acquisition applications. Applications include tank level monitoring, flow monitoring, temperature profiling, discrete ON/OFF control and data logging. The Modbus RTU protocol enables interfacing with popular HMI and SCADA software packages. The R1M/R2M includes PC recorder software that easily replaces expensive traditional chart recorders. The PC recorder software is fully featured enabling the logging, trending acquisition and analysis of application data. R1M/R2M hardware combined with PC Recorder software provides a low cost industrial grade data acquisition system.

Easy I/O Expansion via Modbus RTU

Adding I/O modules is very easy, simply by cross-wiring between I/O modules with a twisted-pair cable, and by setting node address to new modules. When you need to extend distance between the PC and the modules, insert an RS-232C/RS-485 converter*.
